Hey there! I’m Emma Tierno, and I’m an actor, singer, and dancer living in Chicago, IL. I’m originally from Candia, New Hampshire (wicked fah from Chicago), where I fostered my love of performing through studying ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical at my dance studio. However, it wasn't until I watched the MTV Legally Blonde pro-shot in middle school that I realized performing was a career I wanted to pursue.

 

I moved to Chicago to earn my BFA in musical theater with a dance concentration at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. There, I studied with Lindsay Cummings, Shanna VanDerwerker, Stephen Schellhardt, Tammy Mader, and more outstanding faculty. I fell in love with the tight-knit community that the theater and arts scene in Chicago has, and after graduation, I made the easiest decision to stay here and continue doing what I love in a city that I love just as much.

 

Whether I am in class or performing in any capacity, I always want to have fun and bring myself into whatever I do. I believe in bringing determination and passion to my work, but never taking myself too seriously.

 

Outside of performing, I love thrifting, going to the movies, doing my own nail sets, finding the best bacon egg and cheese in Chicago (so far, Hero is it), and planning Disney trips. I love travelling, meeting new people, and having new experiences, and I am so excited to see what else Chicago has in store for me!
